The SHYC Junior Sailing camps expose kids to sailing and advance their knowledge. Our Monday-Thursday half day camps are a great way to ignite and grow the love of sailing. We have 16 camps that will allow for a great experience for a little sailor. We also have 2 new additions to get out on the water in 2026...our NEW GIRLS WEEK is a great opportunity for little lady sailors.

All camps are $200 per week
This is a NEW and GROWING program designed to introduce young sailors to the excitement of racing while building strong fundamentals and a love for the sport. Practices are held Friday afternoons throughout the summer with possible Saturday trips to Saugatuck. Sailors will have the opportunity to participate in up to two WMYSA-sanctioned regattas during the season. This is a great gateway into becoming an instructor and lifelong sailor.
Weekly Friday Camp
Adult lessons will be taught on our J24 fleet. The class will cover everything from docking to rigging, sail trim, safety procedures, helming, trimming, navigation and more. There are 2 class offerings, each 4 weeks in length. Instruction is geared toward individual levels of ability and experience. There is no age limit for the class and is open to the public.
Adult Class 1$400/session
We are happy to announce we are continuing this unique program for 2026. Learn to sail as a family (up to 5 family members) with one of our instructors. Several morning and afternoon options are available. $400/sail
