Join Us for Some Summertime Fun!
The South Haven Yacht Club is pleased to offer two exciting sailing programs for the summer of 2010. In our Intro to Sailing course, students will learn the basic principles of boat handling and seamanship. In our Advanced Sailing course, students will expand upon the skills learned in the introductory course and work on more advanced principles of sailing. Learning how to sail is a perfect way to take advantage of our beautiful Lake Michigan venue and is a fun filled activity that can last a lifetime! So sign up your children, grandchildren, nephews and nieces and their friends for some summer time fun!
All Classes will be taught by a US Sailing Certified instructor
You must be at least 9 years old and entering 4th grade in the fall of 2010 to sign up.
Cost per student is $100 per session. There are full scholarships for students who attend schools within the South Haven Public School District including St. Basil’s and St. Paul’s are available.
Four 2- week sessions will be offered with classes meeting Monday through Thursday 8 am- 11 am each week rain or shine
Session 1- June 14-June 24
Session 2- July 5-July 15
Session 3- July 19-July 29
Session 4- August 2-August 13
“Advanced Sailing” afternoon classes meet between 12:30 pm and 3:30 pm on the above dates
(Prerequisite: either “Intro to Sailing” or equivalent sailing experience.)
